The EU Pharma Forum was held in Zagreb on April 15, 2025 – a professional conference dedicated to current and upcoming legislative frameworks shaping the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare systems within the European Union.

The third edition of the STEM Picnic unfolded under clear spring skies, and JGL was proud to support the event as one of its sponsors, which brought together children, young people, scientists, educators and science enthusiasts. The event took place on April 12, 2025 at the Children’s House, Rijeka City Library, and the courtyard of the Benčić Art Quarter, themed “Space – Ready for Launch!”.

JGL’s Education Centre (EDUC) launched in February 2025 with a clear mission: to build a strong foundation of knowledge, skills, responsibility, confidence, and a sense of belonging for new employees, particularly in production and related areas.

On Wednesday, 9 April 2025, the JGL Pharmacy Museum, Rijeka City Museum and Sušak Residents’ Club unveiled a commemorative plate on the Alga Palace in Rijeka.

This year, JGL once again received the Employer Partner certificate, along with the prestigious Above and Beyond certificates – further recognition of the excellence of our HR system.

JGL Board of Directors member Ivo Usmiani was awarded the Town of Pag Charter for Lifetime Achievement in recognition of his years of dedicated support to local organisations and associations.

For the boost and the prestige he has brought to Rijeka in the fields of science and business, Ivo Usmiani was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

To highlight and reward companies dedicated to ensuring fairness, equity, and equal opportunities for all employees, the SELECTIO Group launched the Equal Pay project two years ago.

JGL Group’s operating revenues reached EUR 254 million, marking a 20 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile, profit before tax (EBT) saw a remarkable 32 per cent rise, totalling EUR 28.4 million.

EDUC is located within the JGL Pharma Valley complex in Rijeka, spanning 300 square meters. It features workstations for dosing, weighing, testing, labelling, and cartoning; a training area for operating electric carts in the plant; an IT classroom; and realistic simulations of business scenarios.

Ivo Usmiani, member of the JGL Board of Directors and the company’s founder and leader from its inception, has been honoured with a new lifetime achievement award. The award was presented by CROMA (Croatian Association of Managers and Entrepreneurs) in Zagreb, under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović.
