JGL is once again a holder of the Employer Partner certificate, awarded by the SELECTIO Group, as well as the special Above & Beyond distinction, presented to companies ranked among the top 10 percent in the region for the quality of their HR practices and their impact on people.

As part of a multi-day working meeting in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, JGL was visited yesterday by County Prefect Ivica Lukanović and members of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament. The delegation included more than twenty MEPs, among them Croatian representatives Biljana Borzan, Romana Jerković, Tonino Picula, and Marko Vešligaj, as well as the Chair of the S&D Group, Iratxe García Pérez. 

JGL has received two prestigious awards that highlight the commitment to creating a high-quality and sustainable work environment – Top Workplace in the pharmaceutical industry and Best of the Best in the large company category in Croatia.

Dina Levačić, one of Croatia’s most prominent open-water swimmers, achieved two remarkable feats in the San Francisco Bay at the end of September 2025: swimming from Alcatraz Island to the shore (3 km) and completing a circuit around Angel Island (16 km).

The JGL Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), an independent body of domestic and international experts, met for the fifth time in Rijeka at its annual gathering, further shaping the scientific identity and strategic outlook of the projects of the largest Croatian-owned pharmaceutical company.

JGL d.d. has signed an agreement to acquire Medicuspharma d.o.o., a company specialising in the distribution of pharmaceutical and medicinal products. This move creates the foundation for further expansion in the generics and hospital medicinal products segment.

On 13 September 2025, the town of Mošćenička Draga hosted the Magic Hat festival (“Magični šešir”) – an educational and entertaining event for children. The festival brought together numerous families and offered activities for all ages – from sports and creative workshops to a lively magic show.

Organised by the Croatian Chamber of Economy, the sixth “Let’s Support Sustainability” (cro. Podržimo održivo) conference took place in Zagreb on 9 and 10 September 2025 under the topic RE:START. The event brought together experts and leaders from business, politics, and science to discuss topics related to the green transition, sustainable business practices, and the challenges ahead.

The sports and recreational event “All Faces of Platak” (Sva lica Platka) took place on 23 and 24 August 2025, bringing together 700 participants from Croatia and the region for a weekend filled with adrenaline, sports, and socialising.

JGL Group continues its trend of strong growth and consolidation of market positions, achieving total revenues of EUR 156 million in the first half of the year, representing a 22% increase compared to the same period last year.

At the beginning of July, the “Trust Your Eyes” project was launched in the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering a new approach to patient care through intraocular pressure and dry eye measurements carried out in pharmacies.

Organised by the Croatian Medical Students’ International Committee (CroMSIC), the eighth Diving Medicine Summer School took place from 1 to 8 July 2025. This unique initiative, combining diving and healthcare, gathered students from France, Switzerland, Sweden, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Canada and Mexico, who explored the fields of underwater and hyperbaric medicine in Rijeka and on the islands of Krk and Cres – all under the expert guidance of Croatian physicians and diving instructors.
