On the 30th anniversary of its founding, JGL donates equipment to Sisak hospital

Today, on the 30th anniversary of JGL’s founding, the company’s representatives donated valuable equipment to Sisak General Hospital "Dr. Ivo Pedišić”.

The equipment from the Sisak hospital was destroyed in the devastating earthquake that struck Sisak-Moslavina County at the end of last year. In order to replace the equipment, JGL started fundraising among its employees, who were happy to participate and showed why the largest pharmaceutical company in Croatia is a responsible stakeholder in the Croatian healthcare system, with the mission to improve the quality of life by caring about health and ensuring care for patients.

"The earthquake has disrupted the functioning of healthcare institutions and infrastructure to a great degree, and the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic and the COVID-19 disease further complicates activities necessary for the recovery, exposing many patients to increased health risks. I am proud that many of our employees took part in this fundraiser, showing great solidarity and compassion. Together we have raised HRK 80,000 and donated the required diagnostic devices and accompanying equipment to the hospital. We are especially happy to give this donation on the 30th anniversary of our company’s founding, and to celebrate it in a charitable and socially responsible way,” said Mislav Vučić, JGL’s Chief Executive Officer. Vučić handed over the donation to the head of the hospital, Tomislav Dujmenović, MD, MSc.

"We would like to thank JGL’s employees who have raised funds and shown solidarity, for the well-being of all current and future patients of Sisak hospital,” said the head of the General Hospital "Dr. Ivo Pedišić” in Sisak.
