JGL Museum of Pharmacy Welcomes Numerous Visitors

The engaging and modern permanent exhibit of the JGL Museum of Pharmacy has been attracting many visitors for the past few days. Pupils from the Kantrida and Nikola Tesla primary schools came to explore the history of pharmacy as part of an after-school chemistry programme, and we were especially pleased to host 4th grade pupils from the Pećine Primary School.

As part of the "Friendship Scrapbook” project, the specialised museum that offers a modern look at the local and global history of pharmacy also drew pupils of the Serbian national minority from Gvozd and Vrbovsko primary schools. Another group of visitors were third-year students enrolled in the Mandatory Internship course at the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Rijeka, who had the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical methods and techniques used to produce creams and tablets.

The feast day of St Vitus, the patron saint of Rijeka, was marked by an interesting lecture held at the JGL Museum of Pharmacy for members of the PartneRi business club. During the award ceremony for the "Rijeka Coat of Arms” Golden Plaque for outstanding contribution to continuous value creation in the pharmaceutical business and for bringing together entrepreneurship, science and culture, Ivo Usmiani, President of JGL’s Board of Directors, presented many interesting facts about the past and present of pharmacy.
