Once again JGL traditionally supported the small jubilee of the "Mama i beba Učka" marathon (Mommy and Baby Učka Marathon) organized by the Spiritus movens Association from Opatija which promotes a healthy lifestyle. This event, held during the last weekend of May and thus contributing to the celebration of the World Sports Day is becoming more and more popular and every year it attracts an increasing number of participants.
Two days earlier, on 25 May, with our support and that of the Čavle municipal government, the "Grobnički gitaristi" (Grobnik Guitarists) Association organized the ZEKO children's festival featuring performances of school children with and without development disabilities. The dancing, singing and entertainment event took place in the Čavle Home. Wishing to improve their quality of life through integrating children with development disabilities with the children of the same age without disabilities and allow them to play, spend time and learn together, for a third year running the Grobnik Guitarists Association organized the ZEKO children's festival. The organizers wish to welcome more and more little participants every year and hope that events such as this one will help raise awareness and create conditions in the community in which all children will be equally valued, accepted and respected and in which they will all have equal opportunities for progress. JGL supports the initiative wholeheartedly!
