At the final "JGL Drop" voluntary blood donation drive of the year, one of the best results to date was achieved since this humanitarian initiative was first launched at JGL. A total of 67 employees took part, and 54 successfully donated blood – setting a new record and underscoring the strong spirit of solidarity within the company.
The initiative is traditionally organised in partnership with the City Red Cross Society of Rijeka (GDCK Rijeka) and the Clinical Institute for Transfusion Medicine of KBC Rijeka.
"Once again, we witnessed an exceptional response that surpasses all previous drives. JGL employees have shown their deep commitment to the values of humanity and community. We are especially delighted to see younger generations joining for the first time, giving us great optimism for the future of blood donation. Corporate initiatives like this not only ensure essential blood supplies, but also strengthen ties within the local community," said Klementina Maras, Blood Donor Coordinator at GDCK Rijeka.
The "JGL Drop" blood drive is held three times a year to continually raise awareness of the importance of blood and blood products in patient care and to encourage employees to take part in this generous and life-saving act. We extend our sincere thanks to all donors for their selflessness and for contributing to a cause that can save many lives.
