Perseverance and the Sea: JGL Supports Croatian Marathon Swimmer Dina Levačić

Dina Levačić, one of Croatia’s most prominent open-water swimmers, achieved two remarkable feats in the San Francisco Bay at the end of September 2025: swimming from Alcatraz Island to the shore (3 km) and completing a circuit around Angel Island (16 km).

For years, Dina has been building an impressive international career, constantly pushing the limits of endurance. She is the first and only Croatian, and the youngest woman, to complete the Ocean’s Seven marathon swims – the world’s most famous and challenging marathon swimming routes. She has also earned the prestigious Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and was named the world’s best female open-water swimmer in 2023 by WOWSA. This year, Dina was also inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame on Jersey Island.

JGL’s collaboration with Dina began this year. The company supported her recent challenges in San Francisco, reflecting the values it upholds and its connection to the sea through the Aqua Maris brand.

"By supporting Dina, we aim to highlight the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle, as well as the values she embodies – perseverance, courage, and a love of the sea," says Joško Brkić, Head of BU CHC.

Dina’s latest achievements showcase her extraordinary endurance and discipline, and JGL is proud to be part of this inspiring story that promotes Croatian swimming and demonstrates that seemingly impossible goals can be achieved with determination.
