This year again, Croatian medical students organised a diving course for students from different countries around the world, despite the epidemiological situation, due to which all other student and even larger projects around the world were cancelled. It is an exceptional achievement, given the situation. The efforts of our medical students were recognised and supported by colleagues and excellent students from Austria, Estonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Spain and even distant Australia. This year, students will also participate in the summer school organised by the Croatian Medical Students' International Committee (CroMSIC).
"Not only do we teach students to dive, but we also, through various lectures by the best Croatian experts, teach them about hyperbaric and underwater medicine, increasingly important in the treatment of conditions caused by great depths, and in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, burns, frostbite, diabetes, Crohn's disease. I am also pleased that the Centre for Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine has become a Research Centre this year, and several major scientific papers have already begun, examining the benefits of hyperbaric medicine in the treatment of Crohn's disease, infertility, sudden deafness, etc.”, Frano Marinelli, chairman of the Croatian Medical Students' International Committee, points out. He adds that he is very happy that his committee, even in the most difficult times, has fought to attract foreign students, from the war until today in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. That is why it is widely recognised among medical students.
JGL has been supporting Croatian students in their efforts and excellence for three years now.

Our new slogan "Wash your hands & nose" reminds us that hygiene is crucial to defend and protect ourselves both from seasonal viruses and from impurities in the air”, says Anna Maria Donadić, Director of Strategic Marketing at JGL, and adds that with this project, the company is working to help position Rijeka among cities recognised for medicine and pharmacy, further enriched by the beauty of the sea.
