The first-ever Kostrena Kids’ Outdoor or “KaKaO” event for children was successfully held on 21 and 22 May. The Tourist Board of the Kostrena Municipality partnered with the Kvarner Sports and Recreation Association and JGL as the main sponsor to organise various fun and free activities for children of different ages and with diverse interests.
JGL dedicated their spot to an educational, creative and entertaining promotional activity aimed at raising awareness of environmental issues. Children and their parents participated in the workshops “Plant for cleaner air” and “Not all waste belongs in the landfill”, where they planted plants that purify the air, learned how to sow seeds and successfully repot houseplants, and made jewellery and picture frames from raw materials. The event proved once again that every change towards a more beautiful and cleaner environment begins with us.
As a keepsake of the time spent with friends and the JGL team, the children were given potted air-purifying plants such as aloe vera, golden pothos, ficus, lily and chrysanthemum.
