JGL proudly supports sports games for children with developmental disabilities

The 7th Rijeka sports games for children with developmental disabilities, organised by the City of Rijeka and the Sports and Recreation Organisation "Carolina 3,2,1", were held as part of the "Rijeka - Healthy City" project. Another year in a row, JGL has provided financial support for the sporting spirit of children with developmental disabilities.

The aim of the manifestation, started in 2009, is to help children with developmental disabilities to gain the best possible effect from physical activity, improve their self-esteem, attain positive perception, improve sensory abilities, develop independence and assistance in the group, socialise and have fun, as well as gain acceptance by the society and the community.

95 children and young people with developmental disabilities aged 7 to 21, from eight different centres, participated in this year's competition with the elements of basketball, football, bowling, sports ground and many other disciplines.

JGL has once again supported an initiative that enables the youngest to show their abilities, express their desire for competing in sports and achieving the best results possible, with a lot of laughter and joy, and integrate into the society more easily.
