Over the past month and a half, students took part in Realizator, the university case study competition organised by the University of Rijeka Foundation. The award ceremony was held on 4 December 2025.
JGL has supported this project since 2017, and this year’s business case was prepared by the Operational Excellence Department of Market Operations. At the competition launch in mid-October 2025, Director of the department Elvedina Kežman presented the students with the case titled "Trainer 24/7 – Innovative Communication Solutions for Educating Medical Representatives". The goal was to develop communication concepts that enable faster, more efficient, and more interactive learning, with a particular focus on learning support and simulating real field situations.
This year’s Realizator achieved record participation. A total of seven individual competitors and six teams applied, representing different faculties – medicine, pharmacy, biotechnology, and economics. This strong interdisciplinary mix added significant value to the competition and inspired additional creativity in tackling the challenge.
After completing their work on the business case, the participants presented their solutions to an expert jury, which included JGL representatives Alexey Tararov and Tina Barić, together with members of the University of Rijeka Foundation and STEP RI. The students presented a range of creative concepts in their solutions – from digital learning platforms and gamified education to innovative technological tools for simulating conversations and preparing for fieldwork.
The expert jury selected the three best solutions:
- Ana Čop (University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine)
- Angelina Krmpotić (University of Rijeka, Faculty of Medicine)
- Ema Sedlić (University of Rijeka, Faculty of Economics and Business)
The winners received special prizes, and as an additional acknowledgment of the effort and dedication shown by all participants, a visit to JGL will be organised.
By taking part in yet another edition of Realizator, JGL's representatives gained valuable insights into the perspectives of future professionals, exchanged knowledge and ideas, and further strengthened the successful and fruitful collaboration between JGL and the academic community.
