Once again JGL is a golden sponsor of the Business Plan Contest, student competition in writing business plan intended to encourage students to develop their business idea into a viable and professionally elaborated business plan. Business Plan Contest is educational and intended to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit among young, promising and educated people and motivate creative individuals with innovative ideas to go into entrepreneurship.
The project was modelled on similar projects organized by leading universities around the world (such as Harvard Business School) and is the only such entrepreneurial contest in Croatia. During the eight weeks leading up to the contest the students participate in a dozen workshops from different areas of entrepreneurship.
The project promotes teamwork, communication skills, tolerance, hard work, responsibility and business literacy with the aim of keeping young and ambitious people in Croatia. The contest provides additional education, features interesting speakers, interactive lectures and workshops and is open to all students from the Republic of Croatia.
The opening ceremony of the contest was held on 14 March 2012 at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. The students were greeted by the representatives of the Faculty, student organizations, sponsors and investors.
