JGL Continues to Show They Care About Their Employees

For the eighth year in a row, JGL has confirmed its status as a holder of the Employer Partner Certificate. For years now, the consulting company SELECTIO has awarded the certificate to businesses that implement high standards in human resource management.

JGL has worked continuously over the past eight years to achieve high levels of excellence in human resource management, with the aim of enabling every one of its employees to develop and reach their full potential, and be rewarded for their hard work and contribution. In the past year, JGL introduced new digital platforms for training, education and management of development activities. For several years now, the company has also implemented an external coaching programme, which is not restricted to managers, but open to anyone who shows potential and talent for development and empowerment in various stages of their career. All of JGL’s employees have personal development plans, and 95 percent of them completed additional training in 2019.

JGL values employee satisfaction and team spirit, which is why it has been organising various activities, projects and events for employees and their families for years. There is plenty to choose from – sailing classes, running and cycling, yoga practice, ragweed removal, blood drives and beach clean-ups, and even theatre shows for the employees’ children. In addition, employees are offered supplemental health insurance, annual physical exams and subsidised sporting activities. The selection of benefits is based on the "cafeteria approach”, whereby employees choose benefits that best suit their needs.

One of the company’s main business principles is the diversity and equal opportunities policy, implemented and promoted in various areas, including recruitment, working conditions and opportunities for career advancement. In the past year, JGL was selected as a benchmark in equal treatment of employees on recommendation from the Ombudswoman for Gender Equality, and the company’s top management is 75 percent female.

Mislav Vučić, JGL’s CEO, received the Employer Partner Certificate from Aleksandar Zemunić, member of the Board at SELECTIO.

There are currently 58 certificate holders in Croatia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Russia, Slovenia and Serbia.
