Production Maintenance Technician
About me…
I graduated from the Electrical Engineering Vocational School in Rijeka. After ten years of working in maintenance in a shopping centre, an opportunity arose to change jobs and work in a dynamic environment at JGL. I started working as a material preparation operator for sterile form production in August of 2019. After two years of working and learning in a pleasant environment and a hard-working team within the company, I was given a chance for promotion and a change of position. I gladly took the position of Production Maintenance Technician.
About my workday…
I start my workday by taking over the shift from my co-worker. After being briefed by my mentor, I take “rounds” of production lines and plan the rest of the day. During the day I remain available to my finalisation colleagues in case of a hold-up or malfunction on the line. My job is to fix the problem as quickly as possible. After taking care of the lines, I make the most of my time by learning about machines from my mentor. I spend every workday in a positive and active work environment. The team is harmonious and strives for perfection.
About motivation and interests…
I find this kind of work challenging and I am highly motivated after solving the different problems that I encounter. Every day I gain new experiences and knowledge.
About the team environment…
It is always pleasant to work in a team with co-workers who are fully supportive every step of the way. I have found myself in a team of people who I can count on, rely on and who provide me with all the new and necessary knowledge that I will one day pass on to someone else.
About working at JGL…
I really like working at JGL – it is a healthy and ambitious company with a clear vision and mission. I always proudly say that I am a part of the JGL family.
What I like the most about JGL…
I especially like the open communication between the team and manager regarding the production plan and the process itself.
About the motivation to change my work position…
While working in my original job preparing materials and communicating with co-workers from maintenance, I came to find their job quite interesting. I was already working a similar role, so I thought that I wouldn’t have trouble adapting to the new job, which motivated me to apply for the position.
About the experience in the new position…
I feel accepted by the entire team in my new position and I am pleased that my knowledge and effort contribute to a team that maintains the entire production process.
About the desire for new knowledge…
I would like to perfect and expand the knowledge that I have acquired at the company in order to contribute to the success of my team.
About my hobbies…
I like to spend time with my family in my free time. Fun and action are guaranteed with the four of us. Most weekends we take walks through the woods or by the sea. I have been a supporter of HNK Rijeka since I was little and I find it relaxing to hang out with the rest of the fans in the stands. I play for the Rubeši Bocce Club and participate in tournaments. In addition to all this, I also play for the JGL five-a-side team.
About success and satisfaction…
I believe that what makes me successful within the JGL team are hard work and dedication. The moments spent with my family and friends are my greatest satisfaction.
