JGL d.d. has signed an agreement to acquire Medicuspharma d.o.o., a company specialising in the distribution of pharmaceutical and medicinal products. This move creates the foundation for further expansion in the generics and hospital medicinal products segment. In 2024, Medicuspharma reported total revenues of €1.5 million and a net profit of nearly €300,000.
Through this transaction, JGL is also strengthening its long-standing collaboration with Medochemie, a global generics manufacturer, whose hospital programme has not previously been part of JGL’s portfolio. By integrating Medicuspharma’s distribution agreements with Medochemie, JGL will significantly expand the availability of medicines in the hospital market in Croatia.
"By acquiring Medicuspharma, we are opening new business opportunities in the hospital segment, further strengthening our position in the domestic generics market. We are confident that this acquisition will contribute to the continued growth and development of JGL," said Dino Ćoza Saršon, Deputy President of JGL’s Board of Directors, noting that the value of the transaction is not being publicly disclosed.
